Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport and meet our representatives for a warm welcome. Transfer to your hotel and relax. In the evening, experience a spiritual start with Aarti and darshan at Pashupatinath Temple, one of Lord Shiva’s most sacred temples. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Yatra Preparation

Explore the cultural and spiritual landmarks of Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Temple, Jal Narayan (Sleeping Vishnu), and Boudhanath Stupa. Attend the yatra briefing and get your high-altitude equipment checked, including down jackets, oxygen cylinders, and duffle bags. This preparation ensures a smooth Kailash Mansarovar Helicopter Yatra. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Nepalgunj (1-hour flight)

Day 04: Nepalgunj – Simikot (2,910 m) – Hilsa – Taklakot (3,900 m)

Take a morning flight to Simikot, a remote Himalayan town. From there, board a short helicopter ride to Hilsa, crossing the Friendship Bridge into Tibet (China side). Continue by vehicle to Taklakot (Purang), accompanied by experienced Tibetan guides. Overnight stay at Taklakot, preparing for high-altitude journey ahead.

Day 05: Acclimatization at Taklakot

Spend a full day resting and acclimatizing to the altitude. Short walks are recommended to adjust breathing and ensure safety for the upcoming holy rituals at Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Overnight stay at Taklakot.

Day 06: Taklakot – Lake Mansarovar (4,590 m) – First View of Mount Kailash

Drive approximately 90 km (2 hours) to the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Witness your first darshan of Mount Kailash, an emotional and divine experience. Participate in a holy dip and perform puja or havan at the lake. Optionally, take a vehicle parikrama of Lake Mansarovar (approx. 88 km). Overnight stay at Mansarovar in a guesthouse.

Day 07: Mansarovar – Darchen (4,575 m) – Yama Dwar – Diraphuk (4,920 m)

Drive to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash. Start the Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation) from Yama Dwar, the gateway of the God of Death. Trek or ride a pony to Diraphuk (12 km), where you will face the majestic north face of Mount Kailash. Overnight stay at Diraphuk in guesthouse or camp.

Day 08: Diraphuk – Dolma La Pass (5,630 m) – Zuthulphuk (4,790 m)

Begin the most challenging segment of the yatra: trek to Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the circumambulation. Cross Gauri Kund, a sacred lake linked to Goddess Parvati. Descend to Zuthulphuk for rest and overnight stay in guesthouse or camp.

Day 09: Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Taklakot

Trek back to Darchen (8 km), completing the 52 km Kailash Parikrama. Drive back to Taklakot for overnight stay, reflecting on the spiritual journey and divine experiences encountered.

Day 10: Taklakot – Hilsa – Simikot – Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Drive to the border and cross back into Nepal. Return via helicopter to Simikot and connecting flights to Nepalgunj and then Kathmandu. Evening arrival in Kathmandu, with overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu

Morning free for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxation. Transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for onward journey. Your Mount Kailash Yatra by Helicopter concludes with divine blessings of Lord Shiva.

If you need to cancel your Jagannath Puri tour package, the full amount will be refunded, except for a service fee of ₹2,500, if canceled at least 15 days before the departure date. Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the trip will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure, as well as cancellations due to missed or early departures, will not be refunded. All refund requests will be processed within 7 to 10 business days of confirmation. To ensure a smooth process, any changes or cancellations must be reported directly to our travel team via email or WhatsApp.
